Benefits - Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may reduce their out of pocket costs for medical care and dependent care expenses by setting aside pretax dollars in a Flexible Spending Account. The administrative cost of the plan is paid in full by CTSC and claims are processed weekly, and deposited directly into employees checking or savings account.

Medical Care Accounts
Employees may set aside at least $96 and up to $4,000 per year to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance. Some of the covered reimbursable expenses include deductibles, co-payments, prescriptions, and other non-reimbursable expenses.

Dependent Care Accounts
Employees may set aside at least $200 and up to $5,000 per year to pay for eligible expenses related to child care for children under the age of 13 or care of a disabled spouse and/or disabled parent. Eligible expenses include licensed nurseries, day-care centers, preschool, and individuals who provide dependent care in or outside the home.
