ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components such as:
a. Complex electronic circuits
b. Traditional relay based systems
c. Power supplies
d. Fiberscopes and light sources
2. Read and understand electrical and electronic drawings
3. Analyze engineering data, documents, drawings and schematics
4. Perform failure analysis of electronic equipment
5. Perform quality reviews of National Equipment Maintenance and Repair lab repairs and repairs performed by various vendors.
6. Provide technical assistance to Ports of Entry via telephonic means
7. Enter equipment repair data into maintenance management database (Maximo)
8. Advise management on equipment availability status
9. Prepare reports depicting equipment operational status and location.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimal travel will be required. Performs all administrative functions expected at this level. Maintain ISO 9001:2000 registration and operate within the ISO framework.
